1. What is Products2Web?

Products2Web is our own ecommerce software that enables you to sell your products online from your own website. It has been developed specifically for small retail businesses that have physical products to sell.

2. How does it work?

Products2Web runs on our UK based secure hosting servers which means there is no complicated software to install on your PC. We supply you with your own secure user account and password to access your product data from any PC that can access the internet. Products2Web builds your website pages based upon a template (that we will develop for you based on your specific needs) and on your product data that you add via your secure logon.

3. I am quite fussy about what my website will look like. Can Products2Web give me what I want?

Of course. After all, it is your website and it must look and ‘feel’ exactly how you want it to be. We develop a website template for you based upon your own preferred design. This template is used by the software to dynamically build your website. We can take your existing website (if you have one) and any existing company logos or images and incorporate them into your new template.

4. Ok, so my website will look good. But will it be seen by my customers?

Yes. Products2Web will build your website so that is optimised for both download speed and search engines. This ensures the greatest possible chance that people will find your website when they enter certain keywords in search engines. We will submit your website to the top search engines. Products2Web will also send you a weekly email that contains in-depth statistics showing you exactly who has visited your website, when they visited, where they came from and how they found you.

5. So how do I get my product data and images onto my website?

Firstly you need to logon to Products2Web using your secure user account and password. Then all you need to do is simply input your product categories and product information such as prices, text and images using an easy-to-use editor. You can add new products, images and edit existing ones at any time.

6. I want to sell all my products online but inputting them all will take too much of my time. Can you help?

Yes. The initial inputting of your products into Products2Web can appear daunting at first. We offer a data-inputting service that can greatly speed up this process. You will need to send us your product details (such as a catalogue) and we can do the work for you. We charge extra for this service and we are happy to discuss your requirements with you.

7. I need to add new products and change product details frequently. How easy is it for my changes to be uploaded to my website?

Once your changes are complete you can create your website pages with one click of a button. Your changed and new product pages can then be uploaded immediately to your live website with another click of a button.

8. I have lots of products that have different sizes and colours etc. Does Products2Web cater for these different product options?

Yes. You can add as many different product options as you want for a single product. For example, you may have a product that is available in 6 different colours and 8 different sizes and the larger sizes cost more. Products2Web allows you to add all these differences to a single product which avoids the need for adding duplicated product information.

9. I have many different postal and delivery options for my products, depending upon region and/or weight. Does Products2Web allow me to specify these?

Yes. You can define different postal charges and delivery options based on weight, cost of product and/or customer’s location.

10. What payment options will my customer have when they buy from my website?

Products2Web interfaces with several well known payment gateways such as PayPal, Nochex and Chronopay. It is up to you, as a retailer, to decide which gateways you would like to make available to your customers. You will need to have an account with the payment gateway provider. We can liaise with you to help you set up your payment gateways as required. We also provide our own secure payment system called Encrypted Payments. Encrypted Payments is a highly secure system to accept credit and debit card payments from your website. Payment and order information is securely collected and delivered to you for manual processing using your existing PDQ (Process Data Quickly) terminal.

11. How much does Products2Web cost? Are there any hidden charges?

We charge a one-off initial set up fee of £80 (excl VAT) to build your website template. We charge a monthly licence fee to use our Products2Web software. The cost of this depends on the number of products you need to sell on your website. Prices start from £16.66 (excl VAT) for 50 products and increase in stages up to £49.99 (excl VAT) for an unlimited amount of products. Visit our pricing page here for more details.

12. How long will it take to have my website up and running?

After we have discussed your preferred design with you and we fully understand any other requirements that you may have we would normally have your template ready for use within 1 week. More complicated designs can take 2 weeks depending on your needs. Once the template is completed to your satisfaction we will upload it to our servers. Products2Web is then ready for you to start adding your product information. As you add your products you can preview what your website will look like to your customers at any time. When you have completed adding your products and you are happy with your website we then make the website ‘live’.
